Future Voice

“Pure aesthetics are boring. It has to create friction, contain something I neither ordered nor expected.”

Boris Eldagsen / Artist

Boris works with AI at every stage, from developing concepts to creating images, video and music. Generated drafts can open a door in his mind, much like experimentation during a photoshoot once did. He wants his work to create friction and introduce something unexpected. Creatively important decisions remain his own, as he wants to avoid the statistical average. AI should support his creative autonomy rather than replace it. Boris imagines AI’s environmental footprint as a grease stain, but says it would not change how he uses the technology for now, as it is essential to his work.
