Axel embraces tools that let him realise ideas that were previously difficult or impossible to produce. Simplifying the process gives him more room for the idea and creative direction. He thinks of language models as robotic assistants or service providers. For him, image-generating AI feels more like a multi-camera setup that needs to be adjusted precisely. He feels most creative before turning to AI, retaining control over the initial ideas and how they evolve. Although he works with AI, many AI films leave him emotionally unmoved. He does not wish for greater understanding from the tools, fearing they are already too close to replacing people.
